Helps for Using this Site
To me it is always interesting to observe the protocols that are followed on a web site to make it more user friendly. If a site provides some notes on those practices it makes it just that much easier to take advantage of them. I hope to do this for the users of this site. If nothing else it is a good discipline for me to be very conscious of the design principles that I am, or ought to be, observing.

More technical information, including this page, can be accessed through links that are listed on the upper right hand edge of each page.
The primary navigation page links are listed in the left hand column of each page (above my charming picture). Secondary navigation page links will be added to the left hand column (below my charming picture) but only on the particular page to which they relate.
It is helpful to know where a link is going to take you before you click on it. The intention is to place mouse rollover tags on all links that may be ambiguous. Place your cursor on the link and the explanation will appear.
It is important to know when an individual page was last updated. At the bottom of each page is a note which indicates when the page was last uploaded to the server.
